Tahquitz Creek Golf Resort
Two affordable public courses in south Palm Springs - the mature, tree-lined Legend and the more open Resort layout - with mountain views, a driving range and rates well below the valley's marquee resorts. Conditioning is solid rather than pristine, pace is relaxed, and it is the easiest place in the city to get a same-week tee time. Twilight rounds in winter are the best value in Palm Springs.
Hours: Daily dawn-dusk. Best for an easy, cheap round.
