Indio is the festival capital of the valley. Empire Polo Club hosts Coachella and Stagecoach; Acrisure Arena brings hockey and arena concerts.
Indio is the largest city in the valley by population and the most affordable place to stay during festival weekends, which is why it books out first. Date shakes and date farms are a genuinely local thing here.
