Where to Stay for Coachella & Stagecoach: Areas and Transport

Start with the right 2027 weekend

Goldenvoice's calendar confirms Coachella, April 9–11 and April 16–18, followed by Stagecoach, April 23–25, 2027, at Empire Polo Club in Indio.

Choose the festival and weekend before comparing accommodation. Use the Coachella hotel and shuttle guide or the Stagecoach hotel guide for the event-specific details.

Indio and La Quinta

Indio keeps you in the same city as the festival grounds. Compare the exact hotel address, arrival route and pickup rather than assuming an Indio hotel is beside a festival entrance.

La Quinta offers a different east-valley base, with Old Town dining and resort options. Embassy Suites La Quinta and La Quinta Resort & Club are named on the current Stagecoach shuttle list. A hotel-only booking does not include the pass.

Indian Wells and Palm Desert

These areas work when resort time, dining or another valley outing is part of the stay. Compare the Indian Wells hotel guide and Palm Desert hotel guide, then match the hotel with the permitted boarding point.

The current Stagecoach list includes Grand Hyatt Indian Wells and JW Marriott Desert Springs. Indian Wells Tennis Garden and The Shops at Palm Desert are the two marked Park & Ride locations. Follow the operator's exact instructions before choosing where to park or board.

Palm Springs

Choose Palm Springs when its restaurants, neighborhoods and hotel setting are a substantial part of the vacation. It involves a cross-valley trip to Indio, so include the return journey in the decision.

Palm Springs Convention Center is on the current Stagecoach list. Check the route between the stop and your selected hotel; a Palm Springs city label does not establish walking access.

Compare the transport for your own festival

Use the official Coachella shuttle page or official Stagecoach shuttle page. Buy the appropriate event pass and confirm the pickup rather than applying an older year's route or another festival's rules.

For Stagecoach, standard attendee day parking is currently listed as free, first come, first served, while preferred parking is a separate paid option. Check the specific festival's current arrival directions for driving, rideshare and pedestrian entry.

Compare the whole stay

Use the same dates, occupancy, room type and cancellation terms. Add hotel taxes, parking and mandatory charges, then any separately purchased festival and shuttle passes. Minimum stays and refund terms vary by reservation; no area or festival weekend is guaranteed cheaper.

An official hotel package and an ordinary room-only booking include different items. Read the selected package's admission, transport, occupancy and hotel-age terms before comparing totals. The Stagecoach visitor guide and Coachella guide cover the wider trip.
