What we cover

Events worth leaving the house for, hotels judged on the things that actually change a desert trip, restaurants we would send a friend to, and the pools, canyons and mid-century landmarks that make this valley different from anywhere else in California.

How we work

Every guide is written and edited by a person. We verify hours, prices and details against official venue sources, visit or call venues where we can, and re-check listings on a schedule — each page shows when it was last verified. Nothing on this site can be bought as editorial coverage; paid placements are labeled “Sponsored” wherever they appear. Read our editorial policy and affiliate disclosure.
