Smoke Tree Stables
South Palm Springs
A historic stable at the south end of Palm Springs running guided horseback rides into the washes and lower canyons of the Indian Canyons, from one-hour walks suitable for beginners to longer half-day trips. Horses are calm and well-handled, and the routes pass palm groves and desert wash country most visitors never see. Rides operate in the cooler months and require advance booking.
Hours: Seasonal, by reservation. Best for riding into the canyons.
