Modernism Week Palm Springs: Tickets, Tours & Planning Guide

Start with the right edition

Use the dates and ticket-release guide for the two festival editions. For October 15–18, 2026, the organizer links to the October ModTix catalog. February 2027 has a preview scheduled for October 25 and ticket sales scheduled for November 1, 2026; follow the official announcement for the opening time.

Do not assume an October activity, price or venue will appear in the February program. Choose the edition and date before comparing tickets.

Choose by the access you want

Private-home interiors

An interior tour is the relevant product when entering a house is the point of the trip. Read the listing for the homes included, whether the visit is guided, the meeting address and any photography or access restrictions. An architecture bus tour or neighborhood walk does not automatically include interior admission.

Bus and walking tours

A guided exterior tour can help put the architects and neighborhoods in context. Compare the actual route, duration, boarding or walking requirements and departure address. The festival's double-decker tours and the organizer's separate seasonal mini-coach tours are different products; use the correct booking page.

Talks, films, design shows and social events

Choose these by the specific topic or host rather than assuming every program is part of one admission pass. Review the listing for the date, age rules and entry requirements. A free activity may still require a ticket or registration.

Read the ticket terms before buying

The organizer's FAQ says purchases are final and tickets generally cannot be refunded or exchanged. Organizer-cancelled events have a separate refund provision. Check the current terms for your activity and any optional refund-protection product.

Check the session's date and time before checkout. Confirm the rules relevant to your party, including ages, pets, mobility needs and photography. Use the official support process for access questions rather than assuming a rule applies across the entire festival.

Prices belong to individual listings. This guide does not present an unverified festival-wide starting price or promise that a particular tour will sell out within a fixed number of hours.

Map the meeting point before choosing a hotel

The meeting point may differ from the address of the house being visited. Group activities by their actual starting locations, leave time for parking and check-in, and compare the Modernism Week hotel shortlist.

For a room before the program is released, compare cancellation deadlines and deposits so you understand the commitment. Review the full stay total, including taxes and mandatory fees. There is no universal hotel minimum stay or fixed festival markup.

Architecture outside the festivals

Modernism Week also runs separate seasonal architecture tours, with scheduled 22-seat mini-coach tours advertised from October 15, 2026 through May 29, 2027. Check the date-specific schedule and the access included.

The self-guided architecture route is another option for exterior viewing from public streets. Enter private property only as part of an expressly booked visit. The architecture and museum guide and Sunnylands guide provide separate cultural options with their own admission and opening rules.
