Greater Palm Springs Pride returns November 6–8, 2026, with a free downtown festival and the Sunday-morning parade down Palm Canyon Drive. It is one of the largest free Pride celebrations in the country, and November is arguably the single best weather weekend of the year to be here.
| Where to stay | Vibe | Walk to festival | Books out |
|---|---|---|---|
| Warm Sands gay resort | Clothing-optional, social, men-only at most | Short rideshare | First |
| Downtown hotel | Full-service, walk to everything | Yes | Second |
| Uptown Design District | Quieter, design-forward | Short rideshare | Last |
$$Palm Springs Pride is not a ticketed festival in the way most big-city Prides are. Admission to the downtown festival is free, the parade is free, and the weekend runs on the city's own hospitality: bars, pool parties, and the resorts rather than gates and wristbands. The 2026 dates are November 6–8, verified against the official Pride site.
The weekend layout
The festival itself sets up downtown with stages, vendors, and food, and runs through the weekend. The Pride Parade is the Sunday-morning centerpiece, marching down Palm Canyon Drive with the mountains behind it — arrive early for a curb spot, because the route fills in. Between official events, the Arenas District bars run their own parties all weekend, and the gay resorts host pool events that are where a lot of the actual socializing happens.
Where to stay
Two strategies. The Warm Sands gay resorts — clothing-optional men's resorts like Santiago — put you inside the community for the weekend and sell out first. Downtown hotels put you walking distance from the festival and parade route. Either works; what does not work is assuming you can book in October. Pride weekend is one of the busiest of the fall.
November weather is the point
Early November is when the desert turns perfect: mid-80s afternoons, 60s evenings, and pool weather without the summer brutality. If you have been waiting for a reason to visit, this is the locals' answer.
Beyond the weekend
The LGBTQ+ scene runs year-round here — the Arenas District, the Warm Sands resorts, and a calendar that includes The Dinah in the fall and other events through the year. Our full Gay Palm Springs guide covers the bars, hotels, and neighborhoods in detail.$$
