Uptown Design District

Uptown is where Palm Springs keeps its midcentury design shops, vintage dealers and the best morning coffee-and-brunch run in the valley.

North Palm Canyon Drive between Alejo Road and Vista Chino is a tight run of design showrooms, vintage furniture dealers, galleries and some of the most-booked restaurants in town. It is a short walk or a two-minute drive from downtown, and the small hotels here are quieter than the convention-center cluster.

Where to stay in Uptown Design District: ARRIVE Palm Springs, Triada Palm Springs. Rates in this part of Palm Springs follow the same pattern as the rest of the valley — highest from January through April and on festival weekends, softest in July and August.
