Cathedral City

Perez Road Arts District

Perez Road is Cathedral City's warehouse-turned-gallery strip: furniture dealers, midcentury salvage and studios a few minutes from Palm Springs.

The Perez Road corridor is where a lot of Palm Springs' midcentury furniture actually comes from — a run of low warehouses holding vintage dealers, upholsterers, galleries and design studios. It is a browsing destination rather than a place to walk for dinner.

Cathedral City itself sits between Palm Springs and Rancho Mirage on Highway 111, with the downtown amphitheatre and the city's hotels a short drive away. It is the pragmatic option: Palm Springs prices minus about a third, ten minutes from downtown.

Most dealers keep weekday hours and close early on Sunday, so plan browsing for a weekday morning.

Perez Road Arts District is one of the areas we track in Cathedral City. This page pulls together everything on PalmSpots that sits inside it, so you can judge whether it is the right base for your trip rather than guessing from a map pin.

We do not currently list a hotel inside Perez Road Arts District, so most visitors stay elsewhere in Cathedral City and drive in.

Getting around: distances in the Coachella Valley are deceptive. Neighbouring areas look close together but the valley runs about 45 miles end to end, so plan on a car for anything outside a walkable downtown core, and budget more driving time on festival weekends when Highway 111 and the I-10 back up.

Dealers here will arrange freight for larger pieces — ask before you decide something won't fit in the rental car.
