Where to Stay for the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway
Hotel bases for a tramway visit: the Valley Station drive, ticket timing and what to do afterward.

Five selected stays in this guide, kept in sync with our hotel database.
The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway begins at Valley Station on Tram Way, up a mountain road away from downtown hotels. For most visitors, a convenient Palm Springs base makes more sense than chasing a misleading 'hotel next to the tram' listing.

The tramway's official address is 1 Tram Way, Palm Springs, CA 92262. The tramway's directions page explains the mountain approach to Valley Station. It isn't a place where a row of traditional hotels sits within a casual walk of the entrance.
Where to base your visit
ARRIVE Palm Springs and Alcazar Palm Springs are uptown Palm Springs options if you prefer to stay on the north side of the city's hotel scene. Their locations can work for a trip that combines the tramway with cafes, dining and shopping. They are not tramway-entrance hotels.
Hyatt Palm Springs and Kimpton Rowan Palm Springs are downtown choices for guests who want more evening dining and a hotel base before or after the tram. You will still need to reach the Valley Station separately.
Casa Cody is an alternative for a smaller downtown boutique-style stay. As with all selections here, confirm the actual hotel room's features, parking terms and full price before booking.
Tickets, timing and transportation
The operator's current ticket page lists separate prices for adults, children and seniors, and its winter 2026–2027 schedule has different first-departure times on weekdays and weekends. Those hours can change for weather and maintenance, so rely on the operator for the actual trip day.
The tramway's parking page currently lists a parking charge of $15 for cars and motorcycles, subject to change. Overnight parking is not ordinary hotel parking; the operator restricts it to people camping in the State Park.
Do not assume a ride-share service will reliably be waiting at the mountain station when you return. Plan the return journey before leaving the hotel, especially for the final tram of the evening.
Build a two-day itinerary
On arrival day, enjoy central Palm Springs. For the tram visit, allow a generous morning or afternoon window for getting to Valley Station, ticketing, queueing, riding, and exploring the Mountain Station area. Bring layers even if the desert floor is warm; elevation changes the weather. Return to town for dinner or pool time.

Hotel booking checklist
Look at hotel address and parking rather than searching only for "tramway hotels." Confirm the tram ticket separately. A hotel room does not include a tram ticket unless a specific verified package says so. Cancellation policies matter because mountain weather can disrupt plans.
What we do not claim
PalmSpots does not show live hotel availability, guaranteed tram entry, or real-time road conditions. No hotel in this shortlist is represented as being inside Tramway Valley Station.
