Two Bunch Palms Spa
The valley's best-known wellness retreat, built around grotto-fed natural mineral pools on a shaded Desert Hot Springs property that has been in operation since the 1930s. Beyond the soaking grotto there are treatment rooms, sound baths, yoga, a restaurant and a strict quiet policy that is actually enforced. Day passes are limited and must be booked ahead; phones are discouraged throughout.
