Best Happy Hours in Palm Springs: The Ones You Can Actually Verify

Five happy hours published by the businesses themselves, with the days and times they print - plus how to find the rest

Best Happy Hours in Palm Springs: The Ones You Can Actually Verify

Happy hour is the single most out-of-date thing on most Palm Springs restaurant lists: times shift by season, and aggregator sites keep quoting deals that ended years ago. So this guide only includes happy hours that the business publishes on its own website, with the days and times exactly as printed. Checked September 11, 2026.

The verified list

Reforma - the most detailed one in town

Reforma on South Palm Canyon publishes a "3-2-1" happy hour: Sunday to Friday 4-7pm and Saturday 2-7pm, with $3 off liquor, $2 off wine and craft cocktails and $1 off beers, plus day-specific specials during the week. It is also open until 2am Wednesday to Saturday, so it doubles as the late option. Closed Monday and Tuesday.

Hair of the Dog - all day, every day

The downtown sports bar advertises "every hour is happy hour": $3 Rolling Rock and PBR, Monday to Friday 10am-7pm and Saturday and Sunday 7am-7pm. No cocktail programme to speak of - this is a beer, pool and darts room.

Sandfish Sushi & Whiskey - the good one for food

Sandfish publishes an early-evening sushi and cocktail window, Monday to Thursday 4:30-6pm. It is the pick when you want the happy hour to be dinner.

Las Palmas Brewing - Wednesday drafts

The downtown brewery runs an ongoing Wednesday 5-10pm special: $5 house drafts and $10 wine by the glass, on a patio in the middle of the Village.

The Tropicale - the courtyard classic

The Tropicale keeps a dedicated happy hour menu on its own site, and its palm-shaded courtyard is the reason to go. It does not print the exact daily window on the page, so confirm the times when you call.

Why the list is short

Plenty of Palm Springs bars run something at the start of the evening - Blackbook, Chill Bar, Bootlegger Tiki, Trio and others all appear on aggregator happy-hour lists - but none of them publishes the deal on its own website, and several of those listings are years old. Ask at the bar rather than arriving with a printout: early evening is quiet in most rooms and the bartender will tell you what is running.

How to play it

Happy hour in Palm Springs is a season-dependent thing. From January to April, popular patios fill by 5pm and a 4pm arrival gets you the good table. Between July and September, several bars trim hours or close midweek entirely, so a phone call saves a drive. If a specific deal matters, ask when you book - and treat anything you read on a third-party site as a starting point, not a promise.

FAQ

Which Palm Springs happy hour is the best value?
Reforma's 3-2-1 happy hour has the widest window - Sunday to Friday 4-7pm and Saturday from 2pm - with money off liquor, wine, cocktails and beer. For beer alone, Hair of the Dog runs $3 specials from opening until 7pm every day.
What time is happy hour in Palm Springs?
Most fall between 4pm and 7pm. Reforma starts at 4pm (2pm Saturday), Sandfish runs 4:30-6pm, and Hair of the Dog starts when it opens in the morning.
Is there a happy hour with good food?
Sandfish Sushi & Whiskey runs sushi and cocktails at early-evening pricing Monday to Thursday 4:30-6pm, which makes it the best happy hour to treat as dinner.
Why are so few happy hours listed here?
Because we only publish deals the business itself prints on its own website. Palm Springs happy hours change with the season, and third-party listings are frequently years out of date.
Do Palm Springs happy hours run in summer?
Some do, but between July and September many independent bars cut hours or close midweek. Call before you drive over.
Which bars might have an unpublished happy hour?
Blackbook, Chill Bar, Bootlegger Tiki, Trio and several others are widely reported to run early-evening specials but do not publish them officially. Ask at the bar when you arrive.
