El Paseo
A mile of Palm Desert lined with galleries, independent boutiques, national luxury names and around thirty patio restaurants - the valley's main shopping street and its de facto arts district. A rotating public sculpture exhibition runs along the median, and a free shuttle loops the strip in season. Parking behind the shops is free and far easier than the street. Most stores keep short summer hours.
Hours: Most shops 10am-6pm. Best for an afternoon of browsing.
