Desert Hills Premium Outlets sits twenty minutes west of Palm Springs on the I-10, and it is one of the largest designer outlet complexes in the country - 180 stores heavy on European luxury brands alongside the usual American labels. Most valley visitors hit it on the drive in or out from Los Angeles. It is enormous, mostly outdoors, and brutal in summer afternoons; go early and park near the wing you want.
